See You, In the Promised Land, is a poetic and surreal journey through memory, grief, and resilience. Set in an isolated island city haunted by past tragedies and an impending flood, the story follows Hali, a former swimming champion suffering from PTSD and amnesia, who believes they are the mythical bird Jingwei, determined to fill the sea. As lost souls return to guide Hali toward the truth, the boundaries between the living and the dead blur. Through mythology, dreamlike encounters, and raw emotion, this play invites you to explore the weight of memory, the struggle for healing, and the hope that lingers even in the darkest of storms.

In the process of creating this world’s atmosphere, I focused on making a contrasted feeling between crowded cheerful mood and lonely, dark mood. For the distinction, I mainly used overhead spotlight as warm lights and blue saturated wash light for creating atmosphere.
